Initial Consultation (One Hour Consultation - $1100 including GST)

An initial one-hour consultation will involve taking a detailed psychiatrist history and discussing your needs, concerns and expectations. This consultation will result in advice and either:

• that it is unlikely you have Autism or

• to progress to Stage 1 Autism Assessment

Stage 1 (Two to Three Hours)

This would include:

• review of all reports (school performance reports, psychology reports, occupational therapy reports, speech therapy reports etc.)

• discuss collateral history from carers/parents/family members etc.

• if some reports are missing and deemed necessary, you may be advised to get them done seperately

• The fees will vary based on individual circumstances, calculated at $1100 per hour including GST. In most cases, stage 1 is likely to take two to three hours

Stage 2

Stage 2 consultations are for people:

• if Stage 1 is inconclusive (complex clinical picture or overlap of other clinical conditions that warrants specific structured autism assessments)

• who may need follow-up for further observations to develop a detailed behavioural intervention plan

• who may need a court report
